In our fast-paced world, we often overlook the simple act of resting as a vital form of care. While the term bedrotting may carry negative connotations, there's value in reconsidering how intentional time in bed can contribute to our overall well being.

Spending intentional time in bed can be a valuable tool when it comes to self-care. Think of your bed as a safe space, where you unwind and recharge, and mindfully take care of yourself. 

We have a cozy routine with 7 easy steps that will help you take time for yourself and enjoy every second of it!

  1. The first step to a good day is a good night's sleep. Besides trying to fit seven to nine hours, how you rest is key. Always change out of your sleepwear from the night before, even if it’s to put on a new set of comfy jammies.
  2.  Engage in gentle stretching, breathing exercises, or meditation while comfortably nestled in your sheets. This can significantly reduce stress and boost creativity. Our best ideas come when we’re in a relaxed state.
  3. A hot shower before your rot session sets the tone for a calming and restorative day (double down on the calming effects by using a lavender scented shampoo and conditioner, or soak in a bath with lavender oils). 
  4. Watch shows, clips or scroll with happy endings (crying is fine, just happy ending stuff -no murder pods!)
