How to get bouncy curls
Our motto is simple — The bouncier, the better!
Curls are a versatile and dynamic hairstyle for those seeking to add life and dimension to their look. The voluminous nature of curls creates a lively look that can be styled in countless ways, and suits all hair lengths.
Bring on the bounce! Embrace your curls with three easy steps.
Three products (and how to use them) to make your dream curl a reality:
First, take a dime-sized amount of the Ultimate Hair Cream, add more if you have really thick or unruly hair. Rub the cream between your hands to warm it up for more even distribution, and scrunch into towel-dried hair from mid-lengths to ends.
PRO TIP: If you have thicker hair, use a wide toothed comb to pull through.
If you have finer hair or find your curls need a little extra support, skip the comb from the minute you’ve rinsed out your conditioner. Instead scrunch out the water from your sopping freshly conditioned hair, with your hair flipped forward, pile your curls on the top of your hair at the crown and secure it with a hair wrap to gently draw the moisture out without disrupting the curl shape, pattern or strength.
Follow this step with the Curl Mousse, to create the best curls of your life (100% alcohol free and 100% awesome). Apply to damp hair in golf ball sized amounts, you can also add more if you need. Flip your hair over and scrunch into the hair from tip to root. Diffuse or air dry, your choice! The beautiful thing about this curl mousse is you can really heap it in there for a cured look and if you discover once it's dried that you want a softer feel, just use your hands to work out the coils and soften their shape. The elasticity and bounce will still hold with the extra handling!
The final step is all about protection if you’re a frizz battling curl crusader. Apply the Anti-Humectant Spray, 30 cm away from the hair surface and allow it to fall onto the cuticle. This spray will protect curls from humidity and frizz.
Remember, the key to bouncy curls is moisture, consciously formulated products, and gentle handling.
